Kallia Panopoulou, born in 1989 and raised in Athens, began her creative journey in London at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, where she studied product design.
Despite her formal education in product design, she was always drawn to sculpture and the intricate hand-building process. Upon returning to Athens in 2016, she embarked on a journey into ceramics, guided by two esteemed ceramic teachers, Menandros Papadopoulos and Vangelis Magopoulos. During this transformative period, she discovered her true passion for the art of ceramics.
What excites her the most is the fusion of designing a product and bringing it to life with clay. Recently, her work has been inspired by the natural elements and textures of the seabed. As she says, "Sea life is Earth’s final frontier, and I’m fascinated by the endless possibilities for artistic exploration through my creations." Her recent ceramic pieces beautifully reflect this deep connection to the sea
Moreover, her artistic journey has seen her participate in prestigious group exhibitions. In 2023, she showcased her work at Corso Como Concept Store in Milan during Design Week, and she was also featured in a group exhibition at The Invisible Collection during London Craft Week 2023.
Utilizing high-temperature stoneware clay and homemade glazes, Kallia adds a personal touch to her pieces, infusing them with both technical skill and artistic flair.
