Angeliki Stamatakou is a Greek artist born in Athens (1986).

In her work, she utilises several methods and techniques. She works with stoneware, oxides, precious metals and she develops her own glazes from raw materials depending on the textures she wishes to achieve.

The Greek artist creates through an expressively free process, which is however technically methodical, thus giving each work its own unique character.

In 2009 Stamatakou graduated from the University of Brighton UK with a Masters in Pharmacy and 2010 she studied Fine Arts in Akto, Athens. It wasn’t until 2022 that she decided to follow her heart and pursue a career as a professional artist.

Since then she has exhibited her work in several group shows such as in Milan Design Week ’22 and Venice during the 59th Biennale and is looking forward to her participation in Milan Design Week ’23 and Florence Biennale ’23.

Stamatakou collaborates with Art Galleries in Athens, Paris and New York.

She states: “Through my art I express my personal aesthetic, my emotions and I attempt to comprehend how myself and the world around me evolve. My sculptures seem like dreamy depictions of nature.”
